All Stainless Steel Midipipe with Lifetime Warranty on Construction. All 304 stainless steel. Folks asked us to update our midpipe offerings to include 304 stainless, which we were previously missing, and now we have it. Also features big 5 inch body converter for max flow and longevity and extra large resonator for best rasp control.

We have the ONLY full 5 inch diameter body ultra highflow 200 CPI converter, with 2.5 inch diameter piping end to end ND Midpipes on the market. Other choices on the market are 4 inch body cats, this 5 inch body design flows massively better. The math tells you the big news here: area of a 4 inch circle is 12.6 square inches, area of a 5 inch circle is 19.63 square inches, which means our 5 inch body Converter flows nearly 60% better than a 4 inch design! In practical terms the 5 inch converter will live much longer and flow better the entire life of the unit.

INCLUDES O2 SENSOR CONNECTION AFTER CONVERTER which means you are ready to add a performance header (relocating the factory second O2 sensor after the converter in this midpipe to help avoid codes.).

Despite very large resonator, this midpipe will raise the final sound level because of the much higher flow.

SORRY, NOT CARB APPROVED FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS, WE CANNOT SHIP TO A CALIFORNIA ADDRESS. CARB NOTICE: Not CARB approved (and therefore legal in California for off road use only). Note that there are states in addition to California that now follow the California model and require CARB compliance, please check the rules of your state before ordering, in some states this setup is legal only for race cars and may never be used on public highway. Sorry, we will not ship these to residents of California.

INSTRUCTIONS....see installation instructions in our forum in the Instructions Section, RoadsterSport Midpipe install page 4 and beyond...and note this unit is plug and play on Manual Transmission cars, we have NOT fit it to Automatic cars.

All install hardware is included. Note that in going to this midpipe you get a standard flat gasket and a pair of nuts and bolts for the connection to any of our RoadsterSport mufflers so we can convert from the factory leak prone gasket and spring setup to a standard flat flange to flat flange setup. And we add the dedicated flex joint to take over the job that the factory springs and round gasket were doing before. So, you will not use the factory gasket again, and will not use the spring/bolt factory bits. The factory setup was trying to do two jobs at once, handle flex with a gasket and spring setup that had one side round and springs to keep it reasonably flush, and that setup was not great at either the prevention of exhaust gasses escaping or the flex needs for very aggressive driving. The dedicated flex joint we built into the setup is a much more complete and effective setup for handling the most aggressive driving. For the connection between header and midpipe you reuse the factory hardware.

NOT designed to fit up to the factory muffler. We know that some folks have done it, but we do not recommend it as it would require at minimum some creative solutions for the hardware and the gasket seal, and it would likely still be prone to leaking, and doesn't make sense anyways to have the high flow benefits of the midpipe and header upstream all get thrown away by putting the small diameter restrictive stock muffler behind it. We want full 2.5 inches of flow through the midpipe and through any of our mufflers (all of which are 2.5 inch pipe). Thus, when midpipe is added we must get rid of smaller diameter factory graphite gasket and spring setup and we add a dedicated flex joint and big flat flange gasket that will mate to any of our RoadsterSport mufflers.

Brian's Installation Tips: Adjust it too long at slip joint and it will hang too low and bang braces, make it too short at the slip joint in the middle and it will sit too high and tap the differential housing. For these reasons, a professional muffler shop install may be required. Spray a little soap and water on the slip joint between two halves of the midpipe so you can smoothly play with that length and alignment of both ends. You can spend 20 minutes on the first try and not have it right, or spend more time and get it right, we suggest more time up front to make sure you have no points of contact (grab finished install and yank in all directions to see if hit taps anything, adjust again if it does).
Warranty note on the converter: warranty covers defective converter only. But you can burn up a cat with abnormally high exhaust gas temperatures from track use, supercharger, aftermarket ECU tune, ignition system failure causing a rich mixture, and more. Warranty does NOT cover damage to the cat from these external variables. A failed cat must be sent to the factory for inspection before it can be determined if it is covered under warranty or not.

---

FITS:

* 2016 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2017 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2018 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2019 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2020 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2021 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2022 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2023 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2024 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2025 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

roadstersport-super-q-axle-back-exhaust-system-with-single-tip-61-1732-mazda-miata-2016-2025-2-0l-engine
ROADSTERSPORT / SUPER-Q / AXLE-BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM WITH SINGLE TIP (61-1732) *** MAZDA MX5 MIATA (2016-2025) 2.0L ENGINE

Following the huge popularity of our NC application "Q" Muffler this Q for ND is once again "Q" for Quiet version. To create this Helmholtz chamber we outfitted our 2016 ND Gen Miata with a computer and sound analyzer and microphones and drove it under varying conditions and loads and without the stock muffler for the computer to carefully measure the sound spectrum coming out the stock midpipe. We then use that data and some special software to calculate the particulars of the Helmholtz chamber size and valve specs to precisely knock down the frequencies we do not want to hear in the new Miata while allowing the good throaty burble fun sounds to pass through. When you open the big box you will find separate foam wrap on the exhaust tip, leave that foam around the tip during your install to protect the polished tips and your car's soft plastic in the exhaust cutout. Use gloves. Note the 'bolts' from the factory are actually studs with springs and nuts and the factory usually jams the nuts on so hard that unbolting it will bring the stud out too. If that does not happen then use a 13mm long socket to pull the stud, or use jam nut technique where both nuts are put on one stud against each other and then wrench used on the inner of the two to back out the stud. Then lube up the stock exhaust hangers with dish soap and yank stock muffler back and forth to work the soap into the rubber hangers and then the muffler will slide off those rubber hangers easily. Then hang the new muffler on the wet and soapy rubber hangers and torque 'bolts' with the springs back in place to 30ft/lbs. Now you can remove foam tip wrap. Option to remove the baffle too, to do so loosen bolt that holds it from under the exhaust tip and use it as handle to shake the baffle loose and then unscrew bolt the rest of the way and pull the baffle (pulling baffle raises the sound slightly). Note the muffler to midpipe joint is a ball socket connection for the first time on a Miata, it is designed to move a lot, so please do not add sealants that will gum up that dry ball socket joint. Our flange is designed as a dual purpose item that allows going to flat gasket if you later go with our 2.5 inch midpipe, at which point the midpipe has a flex joint to replace function of the donut and you get a clean 2.5 inches of flow all the way, which is not possible if we stay same small pipe of stock muffler.

Product Features:

* Lifetime Warranty.

* All Stainless Steel.

* Dyno tested and proven to make power.

* Performance gains in horsepower and torque.

* Mild Deep Sound with NO Decel Drone.

* Smooth Mandrel formed tube for max flow.

* User Adjustable sound level using included removeable baffle.

---

FITS:

* 2016 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2017 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2018 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2019 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2020 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2021 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2022 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2023 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2024 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

* 2025 MAZDA MX5 MIATA (ND) 2.0L ENGINE

roadstersport-super-q-axle-back-exhaust-system-with-dual-tips-61-1958-mazda-mx5-miata-2016-2025-2-0l-engine
ROADSTERSPORT / SUPER-Q / AXLE-BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM WITH DUAL TIPS (61-1958) *** MAZDA MX5 MIATA (2016-2025) 2.0L ENGINE

Twin Tip version of our famous SuperQ. Not just two tips on one pipe from the muffler, true twin exit from the muffler means a bit more sound than all single tip versions of SuperQ. And sound frequency balance is very different from each tip, the driver's side tip is essentially skipping final chamber in the muffler. That means you can have some fun mixing your own sound here using baffles in just one tip or the other. And, use of our exclusive baffles will have a big impact on sound reduction with this version, use of baffle in the driver's side tip will have the most reduction in sound level because that is the most direct route out. Result is many levels of sound, lots of control by the end user and ability to dial the result to your own preferences. My recommendation is remove the included baffles before install, my bet is that many never put them back because this muffler is quite mild on otherwise stock MX5.

---

BRIAN'S INSTALL NOTES:

IF you have more than 20,000 miles add a fresh donut gasket, our item 61-2144 (factory part number RFK2-40-581). The factory designed the joint between muffler and midpipe as BOTH a flex joint and a sealing point and the impregnated graphite 'donut' gasket slowly grinds itself thinner and thinner. Those under 20k miles usually find the original still works great, those over about 20k miles usually best to start with fresh donut.

Installation of this Miata exhaust is SUPER EASY...just two 14mm bolts to loosen!
